Why One Needs
What The Experts Say
To improve one's expertise at bridge, one must read about how the experts do it.
This contains summaries and excerpts from all the books in my library. Favourite authors of mine that people should read include Mike Lawrence, Eddie Kantar
and Louis H Watson. The bibles such as Francis' Bridge Encyclopedia, Amayla Kearse's Bridge Conventions Complete and
Watson's (Louis H) book on the play of the hand are
must-haves. Ewen's and Grant's books on opening leads, Ron Andersen & Sabine Zenkel's Preempts from A to Z,
Mike Lawrence's books on overcalls and passed-hand bidding,
and Kantar's books Take all your Chances at Bridge 1 and 2 are must-reads.
You will read your bridge books and then decide what suggestions you would like to adopt to your skills.
